This makes me want to vomit. Intentional misgendering is so cruel.

Then wouldn't you just be calling everyone 'they'? That won't hurt any one.

You always use "they"?

I think if you use it for everyone, and maybe tell trans people "hey I'm not being a dick, I just only use gender neutral pronouns" then it's fine.

There's this one guy who's been consistently misgendering me for around six months now, and I've brought it up a few times with him-- but he acts like he doesn't get it.

Example:

jadedctrl: Hey, $timrodneyguy, you called me ``he'' earlier. Could you use ``she'' instead, next time?
$timrodneyguy: Huh? I don't understand.
jadedctrl: Use female pronouns for me now, $timrodneyguy.
$timrodneyguy: What're you talking about?
=end conversation=

I never can tell if he's just dense or malicious. I think the ambiguity with this guy is what bothers me so much, jajaja.

I doubt it's dense. I might not be malicious, but not giving a fuck enough about someone's wishes to just go with it is douchebag enough, I'd say. I don't know enough though. Sucks you have to deal with that.

So far I haven't had anyone try and misgender me on purpose, but I've only been open for a short amount of time. I live in the bible belt, but also near one of the biggest military bases on the planet and weirdly enough the base brings such a large variety of people my town is something of a small island of acceptance' surrounded by trash.

I don't count the nameless people who still say 'dude' or 'sir' because they're nothing to me. Anyone I've directly introduced myself too just accepts it. :)

That's nice! I get it relatively often and sometimes it doesn't feel like it's an accident.
