Public storages

Anyone hit these ? Good place to practice your lock picking skills too. You can get a cheap set on Wish or eBay and there are tons of instructionals on YouTube. I’ve become a master at it! My god, the things I’ve stolen, you cats wouldn’t believe. Good tip is to rent a place there but you don’t really have to. Most (if not all) facilities are easily accessible without a code. Just make sure the units don’t have an open gate detection system, easy to spot if you go to main office during office hours, pretend to quote a space and see if they have a screen with all units there. Also, hit them off office hours, usually between 6-10pm. Take a little stool, knees can hurt after a while of picking some locks. Another tip, locks that have a tag on them are usually very expensive stuff and inventory like products. I once opened a unit for a high end retail store, I had to go rent a van down the street for the insane haul. The first few times might make you a nervous wreck but after a few, you become unstoppable.

Just a heads up Public storage is upgrading the security. Cameras are starting to be monitored 24/7 by live operators for suspicious activity and anyone inside after hours. One down the street from me just had a videofied system installed. They are motion sensors with cameras inside them. Not sure how they exactly work, but looks like a high end type security system from the googling i did on videofied.

I don’t hit Public Storage, they have sensors per unit and too many cameras.

Are we talking about padlocks or door locks? With padlock just get a steel shim from store and slip it out. There were times I'd just break the locks with plier cos who return to the shit after you stole from it. With locks, get a pick gun to speed up the process, or bump key, since you only access that lock once or twice. Cut your own bump key from cheap key sets on eBay or Craigslist.

I've never seen electronic locks on self storage up here, granted I never stole from Public Storage before.

I am talking about padlocks. If you can pick a padlock, you can pick a door lock. Those are awful tips, unless you want to get caught. Why would you brake locks or damage anything ? The whole point is to go silently and without a trace. As described on the post, I pick the locks and yes I make my own tools and know which ones to use based on the lock. The day you start breaking things and leaving obvious traces of break ins is when they start using sensors and more cameras and alarms etc.

I’ve been hitting the same building I rent my unit at for about a year now without a worry in the world. Most of the units are for storing the most useless worthless crap anyway. The traffic of visitors is minimal.

Get a shim. lol only noob in these days and age would pick a padlock. Either you shim it or break it.

Wrong. I enjoy picking padlocks and I’m not a noob and just because I enjoy doing it doesn’t make me one. I have many shims, don’t need more. I’ve broken plenty of locks too. I just don’t break these locks, that’s stupid for this particular hit specially if you want to keep coming back for more.

You spend minutes doing what it takes 3 seconds to finish. Lockpicking is about getting things done. Judging you don't know what the fuck is a shim, proving that your experience is bullshit. That's why you never have the guts to steal outside your petty building. Because outside world takes real risks and challenges. Enjoy stealing from grandma and single mom, maybe it's time to give something back to them, dipshit.

I know exactly how to use shims and that’s how I learned to pick actually. I just lockpick and it doesn’t take me more than a couple of minutes, for this particular hit I don’t need to rush. Shims to me is like using cheats. I can open anything I want as quick as I want. I’ve never stolen from family either, “grandma and single mom”? What are you even babbling about ? You make absolutely no sense. You have no idea about me or my experience. I’ve taken risks and challenges as well.

You can insult me all you want but you don’t know a single thing about me and never will.

;) "Shims use like cheat" is that it little shit? LMAO you only pick padlock and think it's a challenge. Want a real challenge? go pick your landlord's door and steal from them, coward. Mate, I jack into cars at steal from rich assholes, I also game expensive electronics from retail stores all the time (layman: get a tubular lock pick). You are still here leeching off small shit. Maybe you should upgrade your skill.

I'm done talking with a noob.

I’ve done all that and probably more. I don’t only pick padlocks and I’m no coward.

Again, you know absolutely nothing about me and what what I do and you continue to prove it and you never will.

The more you insult and attack me and assume about me the more I pity you.
