Bran has no human emotion - he's simply a vessel for all of humanity's memories. Since he's incapable of emotion and his only motivation is to document history, I don't see how he could be worse on the throne than any of the other people in that meeting. There's no indication that he can be corrupted by power like a regular human. I hope he now uses his position to steer the world towards egalitarianism, since centralized power would make no sense to someone with his understanding of the human condition.

My ideal ending was for Jon, Arya and Tyrion to destroy the throne and create anarchy. That didn't happen (though Drogon did destroy the iron throne).

But I also said I'd be happy with Jon just fucking off beyond the wall and leaving the rest of them to their tedious civilization. That happened and it filled me with joy. And better yet, Arya got out as well. My three favorite characters from the first episode (Arya, Tyrion, Jon) all got happy endings, which I never would have expected.

It's just a tv show, I don't expect it to measure up to my personal politics. Besides, Tyrion is the real ruler. Bran is spaced out warging while Tyrion runs everything.

But if we are gonna compare it to real life - Jon Snow and Arya get to live in anarchy while the rest of them get their 'peaceful civilization'. That's the best ending any of us can hope for. My whole life has been a constant yearning for the freedom Jon now has away from the system. Away from work and duty and authority.

The people of the realm have peace after years of war, Tyrion gets to run the 6 kingdoms and help the small folk, Jon and Arya get to live anarchy. Oh, and Sam gets to be a scholar the rest of his life.
