In episode one Gobo's uncle Matt finds the entrance to "outer space" (the human world) and decides that he's going to go and explore. When he's getting ready to go he tells Gobo "think of me as Traveling Matt." There was a magical tinkling sound that they both take a moment to appreciate and since then (I'm on episode 5 so, not very far in but still) Gobo only refers to his uncle as "Uncle Traveling Matt" even when he's talking to himself.
So Fraggle Rock respects people being called the things they want to be called, which is a pretty big deal for trans folks.
