Why do Pinky and the Brain look so out of place when the Animaniacs look amazing?

Also, I'm 3/4 there. Can't wait to pirate it and feel disappointed that most jokes have been said before and better. I did enjoy the sell out joke immensely.

What's not to like? They're 900 years in the future after the federation has collapsed and have to bring the federation back, and the new character is a empathic vegan who can talk to animals and travels everywhere with his cat. It's fucking awesome.

Also there's a good case to be made that the collapse of the federation after the Burn has brought anarchy to the galaxy, because without warp travel, every planet is isolated and can develop without the state / federation's control. The Discovery is trying to bring socialism back to an anarchist world.

And Book is a pirate who liberates endangered species from poachers. It's the most anarchist trek ever. I got serious Farscape vibes from that premier.

Sometimes I have the feeling I am living in some sort of surreal dystopia.

And this seems to have changed the target audience, looks niice

You should watch Deep Space 9. Start from season 2 (first season is boring). It's the best trek show by far because it's about politics, religion, imperialism, terrorism, etc.

But representation matters. If appeals to liberal sensitivities you can't demand more from a mainstream Hollywood product.

If the text is poor, etc, even so is more than the average garbage aired now
