I got to the 2nd season, but got sidetracked. I feel like i watched the whole 1st season and never actually learned anyone's name...and didn't need to either.

Same. It's joyless like BSG.

I really enjoyed Sense8. I had no idea what it was when I started watching, then was sucked in. I feel like over time i became a little less interested, but my memory of the experience of watching it was that it was enjoyable the whole way through.

How do you feel about the last few episodes of the 100?
ziq wrote (edited )
Awesome but not sci-fi
Imdb:
Drama, Fantasy, Horror
The sci fi episodes were greatly outnumbered by the other genres

I'm a fan of good shit.
3rd season is completely different, you'll either love it or hate it. Think Blade Runner.

I'm a big fan of Westworld. I feel like I would order them 1>3>2 in terms of seasons. The one thing I can say with no interest in debating, is that I could do without their after-episode rundowns. Wholly shit I hate them so much.
The more I learn about showrunners and hear them speak about their shows, the more I wish they didn't exist.

I haven't watched that at all. I do like the "lore" of Terminator, so much as there is any.

There are a good number of Anime series that offer solid sci-fi. Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in Shell, Psycho Pass to name a few. However, I would be remiss if I brought up Anime sci-fi without mentioning Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. It's a film not a series but is probably one of the best sci-fis I think Anime has to offer.

Yeah, I thought it ended fairly well for a sci-fi show as well. On the topic of them being canceled early, I've never been as heartbroken w/sci-fi as when Dark Matter was canceled. I love that show. I feel like canadian sci-fi is waaayyy more diverse than American sci-fi and they really focus on character development since their budget is shit and can't rely on cgi.

I've watched all those series, but never heard of that film. I'll have to check it out.

Fantasy:
Angel, Buffy, Twilight Zone, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things.
Honorable mentions: Xena, Legend of the Seeker, Titans, Doom Patrol, Early Edition.

Eh. Firefly without the anarchy or the budget and stargate tier writers.

Firefly was pretty cool
Don't have any more, might later after reading this thread

It was excellent. Only thing that matched Terminator 2.

And Odyssey 5 and Jeremiah.

Cowboy bebop for sure. Now that I'm thinking about anime: FLCL.
Non anime: Futurama.
