uBlock Origin: an efficient blocker. Easy on CPU and memory. Its default behavior when newly installed is to block ads, trackers and malware sites -- through EasyList, EasyPrivacy, Peter Lowe’s ad/tracking/malware servers, various lists of malware sites, and uBlock Origin's own filter lists.

TIL about Decentraleyes: It protects you against tracking through "free", centralized, content delivery by blocking a lot of requests from reaching networks like Google Hosted Libraries, and serves local files to keep sites from breaking. It complements regular content blockers.
