At this point every major browser is full of bloat and insecure defaults but firefox is the only browser I feel I can reasonably lock down even if it takes significant amounts of time and requires pouring over obscure settings in about:config. They keep adding crap to weaken our security and/or privacy but pretty much all of it can be disabled and as long as that remains true firefox is the only browser I'll use.
Not very significant when both of those browsers are malicious. Also, uMatrix (an addon you should be using anyway) can block hyperlink auditing in all browsers.
