You can pretty much discredit any site that tries to force a connection between gamergate and pedos. They obviously aren't interested in nuance or understanding and just want to paint things with a broad brush as "things that are evil because I don't like them". Places like *chan, and to a lesser degree reddit (including clones like this one) represent the internet and by extension all people. You'll find horrible people on the internet and good people. Every website that makes any attempt to allow free discussion will have it's dark corners because that's the world we live in. There's no point demonizing a website (8chan in this case) and assuming there's nothing of value there just because there are things in this world you wish didn't exist.
