I don't have any consistency right now, as I'm still experimenting. I download some music from tpb and store it locally. I've also been listening on Spotify with a hosts file ad-block. For videos, I was using hooktube until I found out it was created by nazis and is closed-source. Now I'm back to watching on youtube if I'm impatient or using a bash script to run youtube-dl, play in mpv, and then delete the file, if I have time to wait and want to watch in 1080p60fps without buffering. I'm currently looking for a way to autorun the script when I visit a youtube URL. Maybe I can modify the hooktube-redirector browser plugin.
