I’ve been using ixquick.eu and startpage. They seem okay but I’m curious what’s most popular here

Do not trust Google Translate at all. I did, until I say past submissions saved and shown to me again.

Are there any decent alternatives to Youtube that don't track you (as much)?

There's plenty of great youtube alternatives when it comes to software. However, most of them don't really have the userbase to be useable.

You can try Dailymotion as it is less well-known, and as such less watched over. YouKu is a chinese version of YouTube, which has surveillance but only from China so that shouldn't affect you. Hello VPN is a free VPN for PC which will hide your IP while using YouTube if you want to. Tor has a mobile app too if you need it.

I'll check out Hello VPN and YouKu.

I already have Tor loaded on my phone, but I haven't had any luck watching videos in my browser.

I did a search for Hello VPN, but all i'm finding is an android app. Did you mean Hola VPN?
