Rich kids become corporate developers and are making apps based on corporate infrastructure such as AWS, using corporate mindset and philosophy. Maybe that's because open source culture is not really agreeing with conservative cult of private property? It is not hard to avoid using AWS but you got to have either mindset of I want to do things differently or just not have money, because aws is expensive

Conservative cult was the first to denounce closed source software companies like Microsoft, they were the ones who began the libre culture with movements like free software. What today's "rich kids" are doing is supporting and empowering big tech companies which is the very antithesis of what libre culture stands for.

This gave me a chuckle. I mean, he's not wrong.

The pirate bay, the most censored website in the world, started by kids, run by people with problems with alcohol, drugs and money, still is up after almost 2 decades. Parlor and gab etc have all the money around but no skills or mindset. Embarrassing.

Peter Sunde is hilarious

He has some good talks too, worth checking out.

He evaded interpol for a year (IIRC) by using his last name instead of Sunde when travelling by plane

Also he got around the "sorry, we dont serve vegetarian food"-rule in prison by creating a religion that required the members to not eat meat.
