Well for a college group I don’t think that’s feasible unfortunately, but it’s always good to know I can count on raddle for consistently good technology information.
Sidenote, but I read that jitsi doesnt automatically encrypt group calls. Is that true? And if so, how do I activate the encryption?

jitsi meet does autoencrypt the traffic over the network, however if anyone dials in it will not be encrypted over the phone obviously, so don't let anyone do that (it will also dox that person's phone number, iirc). It is also not encrypted on the server itself which hosts it, so make sure you really trust and know whoever is running the server, to both be well intentioned as well as competent.
Another thing to keep in mind is that this is all webRTC based, so it will deanonymize VPN connections to the server, just like most VOIP will.

So if I were to host a call on the computer how would I go about securing my computer? Sorry, I have no idea about tech shit and I’m trying to learn quick
