I just got done binge watching the first 2 seasons of this show. I had heard so much about it. I remember seeing the film it was (loosely) based on. The show itself I don't know how I feel about. It's not bad at all, but I don't know...seems like the story didn't quite flow. The acting was good, I liked the characters.

One thing that struck me me while watching this series, and I don't know maybe it's just the standard for American TV, but every episode seemed to have a different director and different writers. Maybe this is why it felt like it didn't tie together well enough for me. If was the same director from start to finish, maybe it would have been much better in the end. I felt the same about Twin Peaks (which I love). The first 2 seasons were awesome, but suffered in the same way. Season 3 felt like a more complete work. I wish American TV would let the creators do this more often. Westworld has a ton of potential to be mind blowing.

Maybe the lack of flow has to do with switching between characters every two episodes? Doesn't help with the time skip either But I've been fine with the flow of it all anyway. There is a lot of british show that change the director for each episode, I don't think it's an american thing.

I didn't like Twin Peaks season 2! The first half was good but after that I didn't even bother the watch the film to complete it all and now with season 3 I have no idea if I want to watch it or not.

Yeah, maybe the switch of directors is just TV in general. Season 2 of Twin Peaks did pretty much suck... there were some good moments, but overall not very good. I would recommend trying to power through it and go on to the rest. It's all much much better after that. The movie is more essential to season 3 than the first 2 seasons of the show in my opinion, so you could likely skip season 2 even. But season 3...that's on a level by itself. More like a very very long movie than a TV show.

As for Westworld, I enjoyed it enough to check out season 3 when it finally arrives. I like the concept of the show a lot. Hopefully they take it somewhere very cool.

I meant that I did finish season 2 but I hated the second half so much that I've never bother to watch the film. If it's the new season is that great then I'll try to watch it soon-ish. As of now I'm more interested in Castle Rock, i have no idea if it's similar but it does give a similar vibe (going by the sypnosis).

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood you. I have not heard of Castle Rock. If it's got that strange vibe, I might give it a go too. I love those weird type of shows.

That was evident based on the s2 finale. It's gonna be interesting seeing them out of the park.

I was scared that they would let it end that way and go back to another park. I'm glad it's confirmed that they are continuing with those characters. I'm looking forward to see what they are going to do.
