No, I wouldn't bother. As soon as you use two or three, they'll be on you. There's a reason why the preferred method of getting credit card information is from other means than getting a job where you have access to credit card information.

I see a few flaws with this. One is that if the owner disputes the claim, the store can pull up surveillance of me picking up the stuff.

But at the same time, I've read that the bank will reverse the charge and the merchant won't bother investigating this because it's too much of a hassle (only if it's below a certain dollar amount, depends per merchant).

Some companies send stuff to a locker, like Amazon. Maybe use those?

Lockers need to be tied to your information. You can be located with it when the claim gets made.
