Well I'd say being openly hostile to lgbtqia2 in general has become more accepted by a large portion of the public which has opened space for terfs to find more comfort in being open. I feel like we went on a 60 year cycle of queerness being given more space and though there was always a counterinsurgency, it has found new momentum in pop culture that would've been distasteful even a decade go.

The last Wednesday was shitshow for terf display - I don't know why but I feel that terf is growing more and being treated as harmless discourse by many people, I can't even say anything anymore to avoid entering endless discussions and being labeled as woke blah blah etc

I caught a clip of a video recently where a guy was skipping a rock across a lake, and it made a really cool chirping sound....I meant to try to find out where it was and what caused it, but I got distracted...

ELI5 type shit? So back in the day. When P.R. residents decided to fight for the good ol U S of A as sort of a "thank you" obligatory we will stand by you act. Like many ethnic minorities already in place in the USA and of course their very own black people, they were on the front lines, dying first by the hundreds if not thousands. The then Puerto Rican governer had decided that for every dead Puerto Rican soldier, there would be a Vietnamese killed on the island. At the time Vietnamese people were part of the island, as well as they were in many other places, before it became the attention of the world.
