I don't know if you ever smoked something that wasn't engineered to have more THC than the endemic varieties, but there is a world of difference from any hybrid weed and native cannabis sativa.

That's why I say about the last 20 years or so. it's a generational thing and limited to North America and Europe to associate weed with being wasted.

In Europe people mix tobacco in the joint and I hate it, but seeing how potent is the weed I understand that they are smoothing the high. Any weed being sold today have more 4 times more power than the old stuff

I wasn't really talking about the couch potato thing. In my experience the only times I enjoy using cannabis daily is when I'm working a shit ton like 50-70 hour weeks and I kinda enjoy it since I greatly dislike change when consuming so frequently. Also I always get really bad brain fog is I smoke rather than vaporize or do edibles.

The couch potato thing in my opinion more come from method of consumption and dose. People put way too much value on effect of cannabis strains. Even high sativa and high indica strains are pretty similar maybe a little different. Smoking a joint or doing a typical edible dose is way too much weed imo if you don't want to be a couch potato unless you have a high tolerance. Just lowering dose a lot can give a really nice experi nice without the couch potato issue.

I hate Indica myself, and those hybrids destroyed the pure Sativa feel I had with the native strains. Now the only option is consume those genetic abominations. The last 20 years of cannabis culture (cups and all the dutch fuckery) ruined the average stoner imo. The dealers even started to lace the weed with synthetic cannabinoids and other garbage, I am always paranoid with what I buy if I don't grow it myself.

I never felt pacified with Sativa, maybe too eager to create and be edgy but never "stoned" like a couch potato.
