Why rightwingers aren't as 'emotional' as leftwingers

Submitted by DeathToAmerica in Socialism (edited )

"Just because I'm poor doesn't mean I deserve to die", "I would like an education, but I don't want to spend 20 years paying for it", "I have 3 jobs but still can barely feed my family", "I would like to get my broken arm put in a cast, but I could never afford the bill" and "I'm constantly afraid I'll be deported and my children will be left alone"

create a lot more emotion in a person than:

"Well, I'd like to pay less tax because then I could afford a maid 5 times a week instead of 4".

I wonder if rich people that lose everything become leftists.

You mean like Ayn Rand who spent her life railing against those on welfare, calling them parasites on the "creative class" (read: Rich people) for her then to suck on the teat of welfare when she fell into poverty?

Na, she then said "but but I've paid taxes before so technically its mine!"

Oh shit, that made me laugh so hard picturin Ayn Rand poverty stricken. I guess the creative class aren't so creative after all.

It does make me laugh. After years of whinging about wealth that was "confiscated from her". That "social security and medicare steal from 'creators' and illegitimately redistribute wealth".

How quickly she was to can her philosophy, her lifes works and beliefs when in need.

If she was such a staunch believer in her own philosophy she shouldve have the good grace to starve rather than "steal from creators"

Probably not, because they've already had a taste of power and want to get it back.

And they won't stay poor for long since their entire support network / family consists of rich people.

For the same reason that a lot of men claim that women are more emotional than they are. Because they're the dominant group in our society and get to write the rules.

Crying about how young people don't want to eat fake plastic food is going to destroy and 'kill' an industry and thousands of jobs is pretty emotional. Crying about how black people demanding the cops stop assassinating them in the street are interrupting you on your way to work and that's really not okay because blah blah blah is extremely emotional. But they call those things logic and no one has the social power to call the BS

I don't really understand what this post is about.

Is it to explain leftists being emotional?

Why would we need to explain our emotions?

I am confused.

Rightwing trolls always laugh that we're 'triggered' by them, or that we're 'hysterical sjws', 'autists', or other such offensive and petulant insults, I think it's a reaction to that.

I see. Seems like it's just standard toxic masculinity to me. Same crap that has men telling women that they're too sensitive or emotional.

I don't think we need to explain our emotions to anybody.
