Greece looks primed for it. People have no choice but to depend on each other to survive there now.

I'm concerned the EU may prop up the Golden Dawn, or the police who act as their most ardent supporters, as a response to rising popularity of leftist thought. I think they only had Varoufakis fired because they weren't ready to go to the next step yet. We don't know the depths of their depravity to keep things the way they want them.

Spain. Failed economy, massive unemployment, probably on the brink of civil war.

Your probably right about that, but it could happen. Imagine this: Spain arrests Catalan's police chief (which they have threatened to do). Catalan's locals resist forcibly (which is not improbable). Shots get fired, things get out of hand. I agree it's unlikely.......but wars have started over less.

Where are the liberal voices who keep telling us that peaceful means help a revolution? They keep saying violence doesn't push forward a cause, but I don't see much movement on the subject of Catalonia. I just see the Spanish feds and EU doubling down on rejecting the split.

It's almost as if being peaceful just makes it easier for the oppressors to keep oppressing...
