He added: “Capitalism is going to undermine capitalism, because they are producing all these technologies that will make corporations and the private means of production obsolete.

“And then what happens? I have no idea.”

All jokes aside, there'll be a lot more starving, homeless, ill people around before anything will shift towards that. With shitty columnists writing their shitty opinion piece on how This Generation™ is even lazier than millennials were.

Oh yeah of course. We can't rely on any of these knuckleheads to actually do anything to curb the suffering that will come. On our present trajectory the only thing that will change is a lot more jobless. The system will change, but the rules will remain the same.

When machines came to automate spinning the spinners didn't then live off the fruit of the collectivised machines.

The capitalist took more profit and threw his workers on the scrapheap of unemployment

tbh its kinda wishful thinking. It will be necessary to kill it if we wish to see a communist future. It will not die on its own, instead it may mutate into fascism.

I thought Marx said that capitalism would bring communism, in the same way feudalism brought capitalism They may try to fight back, thought, yeah.

Yeah Marx talked about Historical Determinism. I and many others diverge in that I assert Late Stage Capitalism will not necessarily make way for Communism "naturally" because the Capitalist State has learned to adapt to survive, using Fascism as a means to reconstitute itself. Therefore it is necessary for us to become active agents of history and kill it ourselves.
