Yep. I've been doing this for years now. Every single shopping trip is marked by some self checkout shenanigans. I've gotten it down to being able to buy a whole cart load of weekly groceries for about $20-30 with no suspicion. I cycle through different stores and hit multiple locations. I've got some techniques that have been providing very well, and no one bats an eye.

I don't agree on the no talking, and such. I've literally done walkouts of hundreds of $$$ in merch while talking to an associate that just got off duty for the day. I have good relationships with alot of the people at stores where I lift. Seems to keep me on the level and above suspicion.

He said avoid interaction and to avoid contact. I'm a middle aged guy and it's typical to see people my age talking to the associates so that's what I do. It's weird if you avoid interaction, but also weird if you go out of your way to talk to people. It just needs to be natural...

I probablu could have worded it better. My point was to be polite and talk as little as needed unless of course you are a natural speaker. I was stopped by the Wal-Mart recipt checker the other day with 2+$100 keyboards, a $200 drone, abiut $500 worth of various toys/collectibles. Of which inpaid for about $80 worth of it. Drone was underneath it all and keyboards and toys on top. She could see inbought 2 keyboards (a cheap 10 Buck one that still rang up keyboard) and a bunch of toys. We chatted about being from the South and all. So no I dont mean to be a pariah, just dont go out of your way to interact with people.
