Completely new and have some questions

Submitted by GarbageTimeAllStar in Shoplifting

Hey,

so I've never shoplifted in my life, always wanted to but was indoctrinated in the good boy attitude way too hard, also I don't want to risk my future by being caught. I'd like to try after reading some of the guides on here but I still have some questions, just to be sure.

So my idea was to just go for a grocerie store for my first time, just grab two protein bars, walk around some corner and drop one in my bag, pay for the other. nothing huge, just to see if i can do it.

I'm assuming these items aren't tagged and won't cause an alarm to go off?

also i'm pretty sure there's no LP's walking around there, but cameras just got me scared shitless in general.

You think this would be a good start? Any hints are appreciated.

The biggest thing here is since it's your first time is your composure,if your looking suspicious/guilty you'll get caught way faster than if you have the mindset that your not even stealing you already own them.

ok thanks, that's why I wanted to start with something small like that. I'm not gonna feel guilty, that much I know but I think I'm too obsessed with figuring out the perfect crime to just walk in and grab it and put it away and leave, or I would've done it before. Again the idea of it being captured on video is my only real fear, as I would think I can talk myself out of it if anyone questioned me directly. But I literally see the police showing up at my front door 3 weeks later after they routinely reviewed the tape and saw it

Dont even worry about that at all...the only way youd need to worry about them reviewing tape and coming after you later is once your in the thousand dollar range otherwise its simply not worth there time.

so if I'm out the front door I'm good? and they won't be waiting on you to come back to the store?

Yes youd be totally good and they wouldnt be waiting on you to return either cause it's not like they have your ID to identify you and even if they did theres not a single store that would sit on paperwork waiting for a 10$ shoplifter to return and then nab him. They will be devoting there time and manpower to nab guys like me, I literally just hit Walmart for 1,000+ haul...got a 4k smart TV, 4k Blu-ray like 10 roku's and more and I'm not the only person who goes big like that SO in comparison your theft is almost irrelevant

how do you get that sort of stuff outta there? I'm not really doing this to make money, just to save money, I'm sick of paying a fiver for a can of monster and a power bar lol

I'm not gonna lie to ya. This is literally what I was like. Always the good guy. Could never do anything wrong. Not really like that anymore though even though everyone thinks I am still. I've never been caught and I've stolen electronics. Entire bags of shopping. A few earphones and even a can of jack Daniels. I even had a day out on the town. Got a bottle of alcohol. A new set of headphones. Many doubleshot espresso cans. And later that day I went into that shop to buy something. I was completely fine. Just gotta keep your cool is the main thing. Body language and LP schedules are vital to success

It's not even that I found it immoral to steal from huge places. I was always just too worried about getting caught but I've heard that if you know what you're doing the risk of being found out is really small so I'm trying to get into it.

how come you never got caught on a camera?

In the places I lift. I always lift in places with blind spots. And only lift when the LP is either not scheduled or flirting at the other side of the store (happens more than you think). And I've been recorded stealing on a camera. I even returned to that place to buy something later that day. Plus steal a drink ๐Ÿ˜‚. I've never been caught to this day. But I do get followed by LP sometimes and have to leave quickly or lose him without being suspicious. But lifting items really isn't that hard to do ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Haha me too. I just grew up extremely sheltered and became somewhat of a rebel. And retail workers see 100s of faces a day. They rarely notice anything to be missing. You just have to not leave any packaging or evidence behind and avoid taking the last one - especially if itโ€™s a big item that doesnโ€™t get restocked regularly.

the thing is I walk in there and purchase a single protein bar like 3 times a week, so that shouldn't be suspicious.

I really just don't want to mess the first one up, even if I only steal 10 % of the value that I'm leaving with, just want to get it done. I have some baggy shorts that I wear quite often, guess i could try those

What kind of bag are you planning on having ahead of time? I'd go for my waistband or pocket for a protein bar. Also you can practice in front of a mirror. Just don't do obvious stuff. Looking at cameras is a dead give away for a guy.

i usually just carry a backpack over one shoulder. it has those side pockets for water bottles, I was gonna drop it in there. I usually walk around exactly like that so it shouldn't look forced or out of the ordinary to anyone who knows me.

Do you have a good method of finding a blind spot? or is it just more important to conceal the stuff without acting suspicious, even if a camera could catch it?

Yes. Very good start :D

To be honest. You can pocket both of the bars and pay for like a can of Arizona Tea

yeah maybe, I mean if I get away with 1 I should get away with 2. But the value of the stolen stuff isn't the most important thing to me right now, just that I do it right and avoid getting caught
