Advice for next WM lift?

Submitted by DoctorMcSteals in Shoplifting

Yesterday I picked up a phone grip, tin foil, a PS3 controller and a mouse, all coming out to around 60 dollars from Walmart, I brought three reusable bags and put my stuff all in one, when I thought that was all I was going to get for the day, I covered up the item bag with the two empty ones, grabbed it, left the cart in an aisle then walked out, no alarm went off and got on the bus home.

All was a success and for a beginner, I'm pretty sure I did fairly decent I was hiding the fact that I was lifting, acted pretty casual and all that. Is there any advice anyone could give me on how I could do better? Other than roaming around a ton of different areas of the store in the irrational fear of LP following despite it being very busy and after work for most (which there wasn't anyone AFAIK).

Any tips some experienced lifters could give?

Only advice is not to linger as much as possible I mean I'm not sure how long you were there, but if you roamed around for 30 mins plus cause you were worried that's to long.

I like to hide things under clothing in a shopping cart. go into the fitting room to conceal them. that way if lp is watching they cant tell that the items under the clothing are missing

Just keep being aware of your surroundings even at busy times. Sounds like you did a great job. My advice is to not hit the same place without putting some time between. I'm surprised that the controller didn't beep, but I don't lift much electronics other than chargers and cords.

Thanks, I wish I could go to the other local one but the bus doesn't go up to there. I was surprised too, sure it was $20 but you would think there would be at least like a thin tag alarm. Surprised nothing happened but at the same time a little relieved.

Sometimes we just get lucky. I personally hate Wal-Mart and Target so those are my favorite shops to hit. I actually worked at one out of desperation for a holiday season. I'm amazed they are still in business after everything I took and didn't scan for customers. Using EBT? I would only charge for maybe a quarter of their items, if that. Already drinking your 20 oz soda? I'd forget to ring it up. Always used caution and never got caught. Quit as soon as I could. Was the most soul sucking 3 months of my life.

I would personally rather commit suicide by flying my airplanes into Walmart's world trade centers than get caught shoplifting atm so I just want to say that I don't think you are a petty criminal, I think that you are a hero.

I am just a human being who loathes Walmart with a passion and has never done anything about that fact other that flap my jaw, wave signs, sing fun songs, and blow off steam by participating in pointless parades.

I am a rather shallow and silly person for not shoplifting, aren't I?

No. It's not for everyone and I would never judge anyone for practicing different beliefs than myself.

i usually only linger 5 minutes at stores like target, maybe more if the stores are larger than a regular target. walmart you can probably stay in longer, since theres so many places to hide and steal. maybe you can do the same thing, bring in a reusable bag from another store, or use walmarts own bags, to steal and sell it somewhere.

Actually your technique is what I do :D

Most of the time. I wear cargo pants and just put it in my extra pockets lol

Or if they’re small. I’ll stuff them inside the box of water. Inside

I might just get some cargo shorts now that you say it, I live in a hot area so wearing pants at all wouldn't be preferred. Gonna wait however long and hopefully remember to get a few pairs.

Yeah. Once I brought a lunch box. But inside I filled them with the stuff I wanted

Went to self check out and the lady was like. Can I check inside of the lunch bag? I was like sure.

She opened the bag and a bunch of stuff fell out and I acted Shocked :O

Lol. Then I just paid for everything in cash and left

Then the next week I came by again to get the same stuff I wanted. This time I just stuff them in my cargo pants. Paid for some stuff and just walked out lol
