How to steal from high end but small clothes stores?

Submitted by andreis in Shoplifting

There's this store I want to hit in town but it's pretty small and the employees are right in the middle of the store so it's easy to keep ther eyes on customers. They have changing rooms and I see some opportunities, was just wondering if you guys have any experience with these stores and cod offer some advice

how? you go in, take what you want, walk out.

I used to work retail for several years and shoplifted for another several years. here's some tips.

People working retail don't get paid enough to care what you do. the only ones who do care are lifers, management and LP. LP in the majority of stores are hands off. they'll work "vocal judo" on you (Hi /r/lossprevention) but you simply ignore them and walk out. Spider wraps, alarms, tags, whatever mean nothing to me. I don't even conceal anymore. You go in, you grab what you want, you walk out. alarms go off? cool keep walking. Tell you stop? cool keep walking. threaten to call the cops? cool keep walking. 8 times out of 10 cops won't even show, not worth their time.

I mean....i lifted a prom dress from a boutique because it was so crazy and I kept changing styles and the woman wasn't really paying attention after the 10th trip to the dressing room

I would never be so bold as to walk in and just walk out with a haul, but also because I am from NYC where there’s idling cops all around. If one of the employees steps outside and yells STOP and a cop happens to hear it, well, good luck to you.

I’ve swiped from smaller stores by taking pieces off hangers to hold up to my body to “size” it, then placing it over my arm. Grab a bunch of items, as many as you can bring into the fitting room, and you should have equal items to hangers by the time you’ve taken the item you wanted.

There are a number of methods to this. Some might opt for leaving an absolute mess and wake of destruction in the fitting room so that it takes a while for the employee to sift through. I choose the cool and orderly method. I’m respectful and kind to the employees. And then, if they do catch on, I feel as if they won’t be as vindictive.

Good luck...
