Barnes and Noble Question

Submitted by rickastley in Shoplifting (edited )

So I've been stealing from my barnes and noble often but they suddenly stopped putting rfid stickers inside the books. I'm paranoid that they have some new form of security now(like something inside the binding that can only be canceled when the staff puts it through something at checkout, idek) and don't wanna risk it. Can anyone confirm if there's anything like that? Something we can't see?

If your Barnes and Noble has towers in front on the washroom you can accidentally walk into the washroom with it to see if it goes off. If I beeps just put the book down and go in. Do this on a day when you're not lifting.
