Blind spots?

Submitted by thiangirl7521 in Shoplifting (edited )

How can I locate a blind spot? I steal from target frequently by crouching in an isle pretending to look at something and dropping an item I’ve stored in my sleeve into my purse which is between my legs. I may be seen on camera slipping something into my sleeve but probably not when I’m crouched over my bag. I steal a lot from ulta as well but this is trickier because I usually unpackage everything to be safe. Again I try and do this hunched so that cameras can hopefully only see my back. I see people talk about blind spots where you are sure cameras don’t reach you at all. How do you spot these?

Edit: my ulta has a big space between the sensors and the door so I can usually pretend to be distracted by my phone and walk around the sensors without looking suspicious. I’m 17 and white, can easily pass as 14 without makeup and am always friendly with employees. They’ve never once looked funny at me (even though my purse is bulging and my phone and wallet are in my hand, not bag..)

Don’t steal at target, there are no blind spots there. You’ve just been lucky, lp are experts at seeing through what your doing. Go to Walmart and find an isle that cameras absolutely can’t see. Put what your going to steal in a hand basket and bury it under a couple outfits. When you get to your blind spot. Drop it in your purse. Leave the outfits in the same position so lp won’t be able to tell that something’s missing when you leave your blind spot.

Could be my location too, me and my friends (not at the same time) have all stolen multiple times from this particular target. Clothes, makeup, jewelry, candy, nothing too huge (ex. Electronics). I went to another location using my same techniques and an employee randomly came into my isle and started glancing at the shelves. I was out of there fast..

If you hit a place like target. You need to use the technique I gave you and use an UNATTENDED fitting room as a blind spot. I recommend Walmart. Most stores have no lp after 10. How big is your city? Do you have Walmart’s? Other stores?

Also that’s a good idea keeping your bag under your dress. That way they don’t know you have one.

Big city, more targets than Walmart’s near me. Our Walmart is pretty sketchy. I have friends who steal alc and have been followed before but always make it out. I don’t take anything like that though

I’d go to Walmart. Target is dangerous. I’m glad your in a bigger city. It makes it easier to steal.

shes right, in bigger cities in sketch neighborhood store Walmart is very dangerous to lift from. I never knew what a blind spot wasn't until I went to an entirely different state. Like you guys seriously don't have cameras in every aisle? It's a literal blind spot, numbers of them, craziest shit ive ever seen. Even my grocery stores don't have blind spots

As for OP id stay out of the city and in the burbs.

Hate to bug you about 3 days after. Is it a blind spot if the cameras are above? Alot of the aisles with higher price items have cameras. However other areas of the store dont but there are cameras above on a pole with that black dome underneath. Realized one was above me while lifitng once was worried they saw me as i put things in my sons diaper bag/back pack.

The cameras in the aisles with monitors aren't live cameras, they record to an SD card. Not all dome cameras are monitored at all times. Staying out of high theft areas while concealing is your best bet at stores withiyt blind spots

Unpackaging things is probably more likely to get you caught tbh. When they find packaging they might look at the cameras to see who's nicking the stuff.

Think about it this way, let's say every camera works at target, could you imagine what tha screen would look like? Even on my 70" screen they would all be thumbnails, much less on a 24" monitor their LP is using. The only monitored cameras would be main aisles, baby and electronics.

You're a chick? Bwhahaha target is your bitch. Dress like any millennial that includes office suit, hipster or even pjs and you'll be okay. Conceal with your back to a camera and from the seat compartment of your cart.

Use the toys, towel or seasonal section to conceal. I would stay away from clothing at target it's not like Walmart. You can't conceal in their fitting rooms bc they're always attended. GL
