would be helpful to add the login/password of an anonymous account e.g. u/shoplifter in the sidebar and a link to instruction for how to scrub a photo of identifying data. Because people are going to continue to post hauls whether it's a good idea or not.

Here's an idea, if you post a haul post a multi store haul. Once you do that your trail is greyed enough not to be traced.

Hauls are the best part man. I don't know what to lift anymore. Maybe someone could show me.

Btw can we get a "recent post" navi button like Reddit and not just new posts?

Are you into boosting for profit or just personal things?

In my opinion it's safe if you remove all data that can be linked back to you including the EXIF data and any serial numbers that can be linked back to you. There is a very slim chance that the manager of the store you lifted at is going to just so happen to stumble across this exact forum, randomly click on a post and find that that's the exact items that went missing from their store. I'm willing to take my chances. But kids, just remember! Scrub your images before posting.

"So please, for your own safety, don't make haul posts." You have good reasoning to back yourself up, but this is a forum of 300 people. I am going to be very surprised if I can find someone of the same state on this forum, let alone the manager of a store I've visited.

Perhaps if we put instructions on how to remove EXIF data and look for traceable serial numbers we should be good.

Well assuming if I so choose to do so and they wont be deleted or I wont be banned then I know the risks and I'm willing to take them. If it leds to me being caught well then my risk my fall, anyways I personally think its overly cautious but to each there own.

No you won’t be banned. Nor will we take it down. In fact we love seeing haul posts. We just want you to be careful.

I don't think anyone should be banned or censored for choosing to share their hauls once they know the risks. If they use e.g. the u/anonymous account and scrub photos of any identifying data, it's their risk to take.

it was only a problem on reddit, because when you post with the picture, you can immediately see it, and it got too much attention that way. of course there were a few people on that reddit's post thats are not hauls that actually caught even more attention.

I think the better choice would be to put resources for making it a safer process in the sidebar than to just advise to not; its a fun part of shoplifting culture.
