Submitted by Lurkerz in Shoplifting

Now it seems we have some more peeps from good old reddit let's get back into haul posts I miss them. Anyways how do I/we go about posting pictures on here anyways? I'll do the honors and break the ice on the first haul picture on this thread soon as I know how to do so!

Where do you go that doesn't have this sort of stuff locked up?

Pretty much everything shown was in alpha boxes but I have a alpha key I doubt anywhere would have any of this just in the open with no theft deterrents.

Was there an extra tag inside the games themselves? Or was the alpha box the only thing? Best Buy by any chance?

Damnnn, so only magnetic tags trigger the security towers? That's the only thing I'm worried about when stealing so I just rip out of the package

Only things that trigger towers are the obvious like spiderwrap or alpha boxes and the subtle white raised sticker looking things or sometimes a price tag is thicker than normal hold it up to light and you'll see metal inside it then theres a hidden tag inside. Honestly the main thing that even still sometimes gets me is source tagged items meaning the manufacturer hides a tag deep inside the box before shipping so unless you rip the whole box apart in-store you wont find it. But I've got to the point I could tell you all the company's that do and dont source tag and go from there.

I use a booster bag so I don’t have to worry about alarms. You can just keep walking if they go off anyway. It’s a deterrent. You made a comment on another post that I agree with and liked. Just commit to walking out the door with the merchandise no matter what.

This is a bad idea. Haul posts are discouraged here. I'm in the process of writing up a wiki page explaining why, but please, if you know what's good for you, don't post hauls.

I'd like to see your thinking sudo. In my own opinion I don't think it's too risky as long as you don't refer your location/identity and if any traceable serial numbers are blurred out.

Agreed like excluding some ORC shit where they'd really but some resources into you, it's almost entirely impossible for someone posting a haul say under 500$ to get linked to them. Besides even if SOMEHOW the LP at your local store went on this sub, while having a list of the stuff he had you on camera stealing, then found a picture of your haul linked it back to you. THEN went and called the cops you STILL probably wouldn't get arrested assuming this haul was under 500 because what the cops are gonna waste all this time review his detective work, confirming 100% that this is you, they would then have to be granted a search warrant for your home, car, workplace to find the product so if they still somehow magically got the search warrant they would only find the items if YOU for some fucking reason hadn't sold, used up, or at least detagged and broke it in they would simply get a stern talking to by the captain for getting a search warrant and wasting so much time over a petty theft like this. Whew need a breather after that one

Haul posts aren't worth the risk in my book. the cops most certainly could come after you if they wanted and it wouldn't be hard to link the account to you. I enjoy seeing haul posts tho.

As much as we love seeing hauls, posting pics can get you caught. There are links to this sub on r/lossprevention and those guys actually take pleasure in busting thieves.

Wow you have skills! I wouldn't know how to carry all those bulky sheets and stuff out of the shop without getting caught.
