Use plastic bags from nearby stores, staff will think you just came from a nearby store

Sometimes i use cardboard and literally a rock to make it look heavy. I live in a bad area tho. I park at the neighboring store in case i have to run. I even got robbed once, right here in my home town, not while i was shoplifting tho. this was getting off work. It is dumb to bring weapons to steal tho. They cant claim much because you'll be on cam the whole time, but it gives them a reason to call the cops rather than let you off.

there was a person on reedit that wanted to bring a gun to shoplifting, mind you he was pretty obsessed about using it, and almost looking for an excused to use it at any chance. its better to not draw attention to yourself, and gun only adds so much more than just shoplifting if you get caught.

Having worked in lp this is smart as long as they cant see whats in it and if you conceal anything from their store, this is somewhat safe. theyll watch you if they're bored. I enter the store with something heavy in the shopping bag. Like a gun. (not recommended, im licensed and live in a state where it wont bring greater charges). I also line the bag with cardboard and it needs to be a thermal bag that zips up.

edit: dont use a reusable shopping bag and an old receipt and just use the walkout method. things have to be completely concealed in a bag that looks full as you enter, and you still may be watched even then. they watch no mater what kind of bag you have

Oh lol this is what I did. I put a black jacket into my bag beforehand to make it look full but I didn't put too much effort into concealing the jacket. Of course, when I was actually lifting things I put them underneath the jacket and held the bag closed with my shoulder. Didn't have any trouble today, but you make me a little worried about my method, lol.

Just don’t let them see you conceal and you’ll be fine. If your gonna walk out with a tv or something you need to find out when security leaves for the night. Pretend to apply and ask.
