I Just Felt Like Sharing

Submitted by JustSomeRandomGuy0110 in Shoplifting

On Friday, I was at a GameStop in a mall close by my college. There were a lot of people in there in early afternoon. It happens to be close by one of the exits and the bus stop I would take to go home. What did I steal? To most, it may not be much, but I stole an elite pack or something like of Pokémon Cards and some packs too. It was around $50 worth. I literally just waited for the employees to be occupied and just took the things and left to the bus stop as the bus arrived. I normally don’t lift at that amount, but I felt proud of myself. I will not be doing it too much, since I don’t want to get too cocky. I just felt like sharing with you guys. :)

I'm very iffy on lifting from the mall because there's a high chance that I'd be caught because employees are supposed to be on the lookout for shoplifters and are supposed to call mall security the second they see someone conceal items and leave and the mall will file for a court hearing and you'd most likely get charged with felony theft, mall's do not play around when it comes to theft

i ran what i thought was a undercover chasing me, i never confirmed it. it makes you look very suspicious to everyone around you. plus you probably have stolen goods falling down your pants, or on the ground.

My friend lifted shoes from a shoe store in the mall, ya know the way when you ask the employee to get you different sizes, on the second floor with no exit near. IDK how she didn't get caught. Security was legit circling the mall on their rounds, but she did it. I could never.

you have to consider how big the mall is and how many security guards there are. i doubt 1-5 mall cops can cover a large mall, that is conneted to various large and small chain stores. you can easily disappear into a crowd, or another store.

malls make it easier to get away, most of the time, you only see 1-3 mall cops in the whole store. Usually there is 1 very suspicious mall cop watching you everytime you go there. but the area is too large for them to catch you, or zero on you.

What's wrong with that? Small items easy to steal that are relatively expensive, so far as I can tell.

pokemon cards can turn a profit, especially some cards that are extremely potent in some decks. Guardians rising, tapu leles, zoroarks. the codes itself can be a seperate niche profit as well. MTG and yugioh is also profitable.

dont let them scare you you dont have to run. just dont be sus and dont look around too much. to obscure view of cameras without looking sus just use something where people put there hands in to look at stuff. like a rack filled with pokemon cards for that would be good just keep your hands in it
