As far as I know countless studies have shown that's just not true. It positively affects low-wage workers, the idea that they'll all lose their jobs cause of the hike is a myth without any real evidence supporting it. Corporations & the rich spread that bullshit every time a minimum wage increase is demanded, and it never really happens.

Not that I've really looked into it much personally, just secondhand knowledge from other people.

Actually big businesses will be the only employers that can stomach this, small business will not be able to pay this easily, not to mention that this will just cause inflation and all the prices for shit will go up therefore cancelling out any effects people see. This will harm illegal immigrants the most since they work jobs that Americans won't work because they don't pay a lot. Look at a place like San Francisco that has high minimum wage and tell me if you want to live in that gentrified world. If so, you're a fucking liberal.

I get that it might seem to make sense logically, but again, the evidence has shown otherwise. None of that ever actually happens after a min. wage increase. But if you've got evidence showing otherwise, by all means share it. Letter signed a few years ago by 600 economists, including 7 nobel prize winners, saying:

In recent years there have been important developments in the academic literature on the effect of increases in the minimum wage on employment, with the weight of evidence now showing that increases in the minimum wage have had little or no negative effect on the employment of minimum-wage workers, even during times of weakness in the labor market. Research suggests that a minimum-wage increase could have a small stimulative effect on the economy as low-wage workers spend their additional earnings, raising demand and job growth, and providing some help on the jobs front.

There are many reasons San Fransisco is fucked up, none of which are the min. wage. The tech workers there are not making anywhere near min. wage.

And also fuck small business tyrants. If they can't pay a decent wage, shut em down.

I've just been looking at the comments from the years past when they were doing the same, on leftist sites, and the only arguments I see are "of course more money is good". The only analysis I see is from people saying it's not a good idea. Can you point me to some actual analysis and not just a letter? Are the people who signed that letter liberal or leftists? Also, how does this work towards a stateless , anarchist society?

I'm not saying that they'll lose their jobs just that there will be less jobs since the corporations will use the same budget. Like for example 100/8 is more than 100/15. IDK, I've just heard the logic behind it and it sounds legit to me. Corporations definitely don't want to pay people more for unskilled work.
