Nerds! Misplaced rage is fucking stupid, channel it elsewhere

Submitted by __deleted_ in ShitLiberalsSay

If only the Sichuan sauce and EA microtransaction riots could be turned toward something productive, like scaring the shit out of those fucking empty suit shills running most of our regulation offices. "I'm pickle Rick!" screamed as someone jumps through a plate glass window shooting up the FCC's Post-it board would be a hell of a lot more useful than yelling at minimum wage McDonalds cashiers because they ran out of cartoon sauce.

I don't see any memes or other agitprop making that connection even though its such an easy connection to make right now.

Shit doesn't just manifest by itself. It requires someone actually taking time and energy to do it.

It's too bad the character rick is a fascist. One thing I've been on the verge of doing is creating an Anarchist comic version of them. Because if you create a show where there are infinite universes, then you make all possibilities cannon.

But yea, it's kind of how I feel about sports riots. There was one in klanada's vancouver over a hockey game, where a bunch of fans destroyed a bunch of cop cars. That was nice, but it was a bigger reaction than so many events that warranted such feedback (and more).

lol sounds like you are resigning to a fate they gave you. Redefine Rick. Take it. Stop playing by their rules.

I just mean the one the originators spend big bucks to produce. It's def the flashiest.

I certainly have intentions to create my own at one point.

I'm imagining an Anarcho-Rick and Anarcho-Morty that grabs the attention of the one produced from the originators and calls out all the bullshit I've seen across the series that's problematic. Then, the C132 or whatever versions will have some goofy comeback and leave. The morty will be all like "we showed them" and rick will just be silent like he's reflecting somewhat on what the Anarcho- versions said, and just stares into the camera as it closes into his eye.

Ever since the episode with the battery in his car I've been pretty mad about where they went with him. Also the weird president and alternate US in their dimension is really badly done parody that doesn't seem very informed by reality. Doesn't help that he also tells morty to "man up" among various other problems with many of the characters that at one point I'll write something up about.
