So many times when I read things like this, I have to add in "[preposition] white people".

For example, this headline really should be, "Once considered outlandish by white people, the idea that plants help their relatives is taking root with white people."

There are so many indigenous cultures on the planet that have very specific stories and practices that display and act on this knowledge. It's not non-white ppl.

Ignorant white people disclaimers on every science article would be a welcome development.

There's even an acronym for psychological research done in universities, WEIRD: Western, educated, and from industrialized, rich, and democratic countries.

There's another one, but don't remember it/can't find it.
