Pruitt is not a scientist. He's a lawyer. The biggest problem, however, is that the early climate change models drew conclusions that were pretty far off. They showed a pattern of warming, but the results were presented in a sensationalist way, instead of simply stating the results and letting people discuss what they mean. Current models are better, since they took into account recent decades of global weather and modified the algorithms to better match reality. It's too late though. The damage is done with skepticism firmly rooted in many peoples mind, where curiosity should have been put there instead. It's sad that the head of the EPA is clueless about how cause and effect work.
