I think the point of having an open library for science could have been made without trying to tie it into euro-centric way of thinking. It just seemed like propaganda too me. making connections to the tree of knowledge, adam and eve, greek science, the origination of science, lenin, that kind of stuff.
I really don't like it when people try and connect the dots for me because it is usually an attempt to close the circuit on thoughts or a thought.
