Interesting read. They can actually reject part of themselves to combine their immune system with their mate. We give a part of ourselves in marriage, so we are a lot like the Anglerfish. Wouldn't you agree?

I think comparing the biology of an entirely different creature to the effects of a social/religious construct like marriage is a mistake.

They aren't married; they're reproducing.

When you're married, you're reproducing as one, right? I think I make a valid point. However, I think I understand where you're coming from, and if you're religious you agree that everything was created by God. If we all were created by God, then we should all have similarities based on his style. This is one, in my opinion.

Not at all. Plenty of marriages without children exist. Some married couples don't even have sex.

I'm not monotheistic or religious, so I don't.

Marriage isn't sexual intercourse; which is the main point of my response.

But I did understand where you were coming from.
