I wish there was a way to do it better! I feel like we managed ok when we had a forum for each site and people could subscribe to what they wanted. The real problem then was that the code made so many duplicates.

Yes me too, I didn't really find something in common with all the feeds that actually had good content. I also think that many people (like me) only watch /all/new or /hot/new..
