Seems really cool! I'm interested to know what the possibilities for new features might be, and if/what you're working on next.

Only thing I can really think of right now is making it so mods of a forum can respond to a post to get the bot deleted, or all bots from a user pre-emptively blocked. But hopefully that's not really necessary.

Mostly I just need to fix a few bugs on the rss bots, and then get the code for both projects up on Gitlab.

After that I want to (re)learn the php stuff I need to work on Postmill.

Sounds like a great feature.

Cool and cool!

I'm wondering what kind of applications these bots might have

Mostly I feel like things that would happen weekly, for example a "Topic of the Week" can't be automated because somebody would have to write in the content of that topic for each week

Anybody got brainstorms / suggestions?

Edit: PS I think this is cool, thanks for setting it up

Friday free Talk, Megalinks request threads, etc. Basic stuff. On /r/anarchism there are a couple other weekly/monthly threads, "what are you reading?", radical women Wednesday, project Thursday, etc. Plenty of possible threads on different forums.

Thought it'd be useful cause I know I'd 100% forget to create the threads.

I'd love to see the code or add an RSS bot to my forum (for resonance audiobooks)

Where are you hosting the bot?

I'll upload the code today. What forum? Is it this rss? I might make a similar thread for rss bots, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea, and it's a bit more complicated.

On my digitalocean server.

/f/audiobooks, and that is the RSS feed - It would be great if you could add that!

I could see RSS bots becoming spammy if feeds from sites with frequent posts. But one like Resonance Audio where it's pretty much once a week or so should be ideal (especially considering I frequently forget to check).

Looking forward to seeing the code since I have an idea for a potentially useful bot, but can't seem to get the session to persist. What language did you use?

Yeah, the worry is people adding shitty rss feeds. The majority of sites should be curated for only stuff that looks interesting.

Python + Selenium.
