This reminds me of the movie "The Circle", where the employees live in what look like a mini city, and one of the employees volunteered to be put to surveillance 24/7 using a device. I mean, if Google wants to create a smart city, then cool, but if it's going to cause people's privacy, then it bite them in the ass in the future, I'm sure of that.
