It depends on how much space you need. Tresorit, the provider i mainly use, offers a free plan, aswell a snyc.com, icedrive, pcloud, mega,... But theyre all limited, both in storage and functionality. You could just use a provider like dropbox, gdrive etc. and just locally encrypt your files with Cryptomator.

I'd say just use a file based VeraCrypt container. Less metadata, although in a cloud situation you can't get plausible deniability and having it all in one file may be cumbersome to use.
