Hey all,
Hoping to get some good discussion going on this topic - although a sensitive one. Does anyone else find that ascribing to these sites has increased potential to cause more harm than good? Or are we able to keep ourselves controlled? To not let our views which are rightfully different get the better of us in terms of ostracizing us from our communities (local or global). I hope my skepticism is understood.

Most of us are already ostracised from our 'communities' for various reasons.
Why and how would our views be getting the better of us if they ostracized us?

No. I'm here to interact with people that share similar beliefs to my own; if I wanted to interact with anyone else, I could go literally anywhere else. Anarchism is far from common.

Being different in our beliefs already ostracizes us. "Extremist" sites like this one are communities that we belong to, because we share a common quality that is not easily found anywhere else.

It is. I also disagree with it.
There is a problem with subculturalization and anarchism. It is good to both interact with other anarchists, as well as to interact with non-anarchists. A balance is ideal,from a grand strategy perspective.
"extremism" is merely having skepticism that the system is actually working. "politics" is just a puppet show, so even more than skepticism - disbelief in the system is justified.
"extremist" sites can help people to see that things are not working, that the system is a sham.
whether people take positive steps forward is another question. there are all sorts of shills and agent provocateurs online to try to push you down the wrong path.
What even is extremism anymore?
The Royal Economic Society is seen as "reasonable" "reputable" and "professional".
Yet they object to banning child prostitution for primarily economic reasons.
I hate to break it to you, but the people on this site don't think of themselves as extremist. They're so heavily invested in their intolerant ideas that self reflection simply isn't possible. The left and right are basically the same thing once you get to either extreme of the spectrum.
Not sure what that has to do with us. Most of us are anarchists, not leftists or rightists.
