Their opposition to the parasitic copyright ownership industry is nice to see. I've seen everyone from socdems to reactionaries support them. As I understand it, most politicians running under the pirate party are more or less socdems with an anti-copyright twist, so they're arguably an improvement over the status quo in most countries, but hardly radical and not really a solution to any long-term problems (except copyright).
Where I live, they seem to just be a front for anarchist organization. They even often cite The Anarchist Library. Could I ask which ones you're familiar with?
