Please refrain from using misleading language such as the word "Islamists" and "radical Islam". Most of the things there are completely misleading, such as thinking that according to Islam "Jews control the world through banking", and it makes hating the state of Israel -- which occupied Palestine and made so much slaughter of innocent civilians -- being a bad thing, or that thinking that the Bible is corrupted is a bad thing.

What's the correct nomenclature then? I usually see the word "Islamism" used to denote extremism as opposed to just Islam.

"Muslim terrorism" seems fine.

"Muslim terrorism" seems like if anything it draws a closer connection between Muslims in general and this concept, no?

"Muslim terrorism" sounds as acceptable as "Acts of terrorism committed by Muslims", the problem is when one describes it as "Islamic terrorism" and taints as such all Muslims as opposed to a single faction. Yes, the one who uses the term "Muslim terrorism" is nevertheless mistaken for the reason you mentioned, terrorism is a global problem and not confined to a particular group of people.
