As a PoC myself, I feel so hopeless most of the time. With Trump as president, white people are embracing racism like never before. Should we just stop talking to them altogether and hope they fix their fucked up shit themselves, or should we turn to more violent means to make them see us as people?

Don't generalize, as there are 'white' people that are accomplices and not merely allies or the opposition. With that said, you are absolutely correct that more 'violent' (its not violence it is self defense) means are necessary. But try to build community at the same time. Read up on assata Shakur, huey Newton, Malik Rahim, and the black panther party as a whole for inspiration.

Not talking with white people will only make it worse, they'll "other" you even harder. Violence won't help humanize anyone, PoC are already seen as thugs so it'll reinforce that.

Confront us and make us feel bad so we rethink what we are doing. Always defend yourself. (nonviolently or otherwise)

I try guilting white people on sites like Twitter for how they treat me, and it usually works. This is a decent idea. Thank you.

I’m white and I just never really got racism until I started learning about leftism. It was all subconscious and by learning about it I then developed the skills to be able to identify racism inside and outside myself and talk about it in an intelligent and compassionate way. I think a lot of white people mean wel but are just clueless and those are the ones I wouldn’t give up on.

It’s been a continual learning process. I recal an instance when I made a mistake by believing indentured servitude was comparable to slavery because that was literally what I was taught. Instead of working with me about it, I lost potential friends and anti oppression buddies. I ended up doing the research myself, but I still felt bad about being written off because I made a mistake. People who are willing to learn will do the work themselves if you point them in the right direction.
