Not too sure where I can find one that doesn't come with malware.

Thinking about Libre/MSOffice just makes me uncomfortable and annoyed Like it's the worst environment to inspire oneself to type freely
markdown seems like a good idea I'm bored of using vim and monospace typefaces. I'll install typora

You could try using spacemacs (preconfigured emacs with vim keybindings). I think some writers use org-mode.

Of course, i would like you to use free and open source software, but if you really need it: https://tb.rg-adguard.net/public.php
This site is not hosting anything themself, they just grab official Microsoft links so it's malware-free

I guess only buying it from Microsoft will be a safe play. Getting it from random sources, it's like downloading a fake or remade edition of windows 10. Fake or even converted, it's better than those viruses. But, I played it safer by using online store to get keys. Yeah, money is like money, but I got a lot of projects and work that should be finished and sent. I wouldn't like seeing all my data being deleted or even exposed on the open internet.
