The complex narrative paints a bleak picture of the pandemic's impact, economic challenges, and potential futures. The proposed solutions range from adapting to the virus to drastic societal changes. The outcome remains uncertain, reflecting the unpredictable nature of our times.

Pinning and copypasting whole article here because this is a huge deal. Activists have been claiming for many years that the NTF-ELCAC and its fascist military goons have been faking the "surrenders" of activists who are "secretly CPP-NPA". This is the first time that these "surrenderees" have bravely declined that they have "voluntarily surrendered" in front of a press conference with a uniformed AFP personnel beside them.

Sana hindi sila patayin ng militar. Mabuhay kayo! Mabuhay ang kabataang lumalaban!!

This, the police said, was a “deliberate disrespect to the President and to our country” and later added that it “greatly contributed to air pollution.”

Leftists have been doing this effigy-burning for decades and this is the first time I heard of literally the same action getting charged.

If this nonsensical lèse-majesté charge is left successful this will definitely leave a chilling effect on rallies going forward.

(It wasn't meant to be a pun but whatever...)

As early as May 16, BGen. Orlando Edralin, 303rd Infantry Brigade Commander, dug up an antiquated psywar tactic and told local media that NPA Negros is conducting “internal cleansing” following the death of top NPA leaders on the island and then claimed to be “winning the peace.”

Edralin was already laying down the ground work for intense and violent focused military operations mobilizing not only their own foot soldiers but also incorrigible, bloodthirsty and money-hungry traitors to the revolution especially in Central Negros where they believe the NPA forces on the island are strongest.

In past fascist regimes, the military first launched vilification or red-tagging campaigns against their targets and then send its death squads to kill them. After they were killed, military and paid propagandists proclaim that they were victims of an “internal purge” by the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and the NPA despite contradictory statements from the victim’s family, friends and neighbors.

Edralin must have thought reviving the “purge” plot would be their trump card to survive the people’s hatred over bloody and merciless killings of innocent civilians and children as what the 303rd Brigade’s 94th Infantry Battalion did to members of the Fausto family last June 14 at Sitio Kangkiling, Brgy. Buenavista, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.

The fabrication of purges is also a disservice to families still seeking justice for the victims of the CPP-NPA-NDF in the 90s as it buries the real purges done by the communist guerillas against their own comrades for not toeing the party line.

I guess it's really true that the reactionary AFP and revisionist CPP-NPA-NDF are truly in a symbiotic relationship. One cannot exist without the other. Fuck their senseless war.

Surprising to see Rappler of all media have such an in-depth coverage on this skirmish. Hope they continue doing so, as we desperately need more independent, non-aligned media covering the communist rebellion here in the Philippines.

Anyway, look at the article carefully. It says that the reactionary soldiers fired on the guerillas while they're taking a break eating their lunch. Now look at how the NPA ambushes the AFP based on past articles. All AFP soldiers and PNP policemen are on duty, mostly in transit. This article shows how bastardly the AFP mercenaries are in their senseless war against the NPA guerillas.

Also LOL @ the AFP trying to ambush their communist enemy and failing spectacularly hard at it. You can't just out-guerilla the masters of guerilla warfare.

It would seem that “flagship projects” are big-ticket and large-scale expenses. But the list of agriculture IFPs shows that these are regular annual programs and budget items of the DA and the other projects were already in the pipeline or have been ongoing since the past administrations.

lol magnanakaw talaga

“Let us not glorify the statements of foreign orgs [sic] who, in their arrogance, always believe they know better than us,” said Gutierrez, a former president of the National Press Club.

But Reuters DOES know better than you, the author they hired is a veteran Filipino journalist and a professor in UP. Stop gaslighting

Dela Rosa said that attempts to collect pension contributions from active duty personnel could lead to a "mass exodus" of military, law enforcement and public safety personnel that would weaken the security sector and could cost the government trillions if many opt to retire early.

Big if true. Let them retire early. >:) Weaken "national security"? More like weaken your atrocities on the indigenous people! >:(

"[Finance Secretary Benjamin] Diokno has been warning of a fiscal collapse, but we will be at greater risk of fiscal collapse if this happens," he said in Filipino.

Gaslighting at work here my friends. Repeat a lie often enough and it will be accepted as truth.

Fuck the AFP
