Saying that we can’t survive without the government, is like saying that animals can’t survive without farms.

Who wants to live in a police state?

Have Americans forgotten history?

Have Americans lost their critical thinking skills?

Have Americans gone insane?

If the US was successful because Americans loved freedom then why are Americans embracing tyranny now?

If tyranny is so wonderful then why do people try to escape North Korea?

If tyranny is so good then why did the USA fight Nazi Germany?

If tyranny is so good then why did the USSR fail?

If the US could be a free country in 1799 and 1999 then why can't the USA be a free country now?

If you turn on a lawnmower and chop off your hand then do you blame the lawnmower company, the government, or yourself?

The US is doomed.

Part of the reason the US is collapsing now is that Americans have tunnel vision and are being distracted and divided about what the biggest problem is.

Some Americans think the main issue is illegal immigrants, China, Christians, Muslims, blacks, weed, food stamps, homosexuals, statues, global warming, or Russian election hacking when the real problem is that the elites control the corporations, the media, and the government and have turned the USA into a bankrupt warmongering police state.

The default American response to the US collapse is to ignore the decay, excuse government abuse, attack the messengers who warn of the dangers of tyranny, and to blame everyone else except themselves for the decline.

Americans are ignoring the obvious collapse of the US by sticking their heads in the sand and focusing instead on bread and circuses, celebrities, sports, movies, music, alcohol, drugs, and sex.

Americans don't care about government corruption and scandals.

Americans will vehemently attack anyone who dares criticize their beloved government overlords by shouting "fake news!" or calling patriots spammers, trolls, shills, bots, racists, or nutjobs and demanding that the truth-tellers be censored, banned, get IRS audits, be arrested, or be killed.

The collapse of the US is shocking and disgusting.

How can Americans sleep at night now?

Every country has the government it deserves.

Unless the 99% unites and agrees the real enemy is the ruling class that has rigged and corrupted the US, the 1% will continue their destruction until there is an economic crash, civil war, WWIII, and Americans end up in concentration camps.

Wake up.

Think.

Spread the word.

I posted this elsewhere and I'll repeat it. The Second Amendment states that the right to bear 'arms' will not be infringed. 'Arms' means any kind of weapons, not just guns.

Would anyone care to argue that normal people have the unrestricted right to own grenades, grenade launchers, howitzers, surface-to-air missiles, explosives, chemical weapons, biological weapons, nukes? All of those would be really, really handy for fighting an oppressive government. So should we all be able to get any we want for any reason?

Everyone already agrees that there should be a limit on personal weapon ownership. Nobody sane says that I should be able to buy a nuke if that's what I want, just in case I have to drive it to DC and take out Congress because they passed an oppressive law.

So it's not a question of whether gun rights can be regulated. They can. The question is where we draw the line. And we should have an intelligent debate about that. But don't spout nonsense that all these rules violate our second amendment rights and they're all categorically immoral and unconstitutional.

(...or am I arguing with a bunch of sockpuppets?)

Then what's this law for?

In the ordinance, the definition of an assault weapon includes, among others, semiautomatic rifles that have a fixed magazine with a capacity to accept more than 10 rounds of ammunition; shotguns with a revolving cylinder; and semiautomatic pistols and rifles that can accept large-capacity magazines and possess one of a list of other features. Among the dozens of specific models cited are the AR-15, AK-47 and Uzi, according to the ordinance.

Is that wrong? I don't know anything about guns.

i read the article wrong i thought they were saying those were assault rifles which legally they arent. also if they are looking for rifles with a fixed mag that take 10 or more that wouldnt be an ar15 because they are detachable. that is unless the state banned that too.

either way to answer your question an "assault weapon" is a meaningless term with no legal definition that capitalist use to scare white moms to disarm the working class.

plus it isnt a ban. if i was rich enough i could pay 250$ a day to keep them

police and military should be limited to what ever gun laws exist. if they want to disarm me, a cop who is a civilian should not be allowed to own it either.

It's the spam bot again. I wish the owner would realize that we're already a leftist site, and make it target liberal sites instead.
