Simultaneously pandering to the neoliberal idpol crowd and the pro-cop crowd is still as shrewd a tactic as you can get from Biden. Too bad Dems are still shitty people and that the popular vote means nothing.

I still think Trump is getting another 4 years in office; but the American public has nothing to do with that, so whatever.

I await repetition of the same discourse on mainstream American politics that we've had to endure for the past 4 years with dread.

If biden does win nothing will change but lib partiers will still feel like they've won. maybe it's better if trumps wins just to keep the current feeling of urgency and unrest going

Biden winning will make every centrist in the dem party feel like shit can be "normal" again. Thus, all of the atrocities committed under Biden-Harris will be swept under the rug and justified with "Yeah, but they aren't Trump, though".

Trump winning means that everyone who has to deal with US politics get to deal with the same "impeach Russian agent cheeto man" shtick that we've gotten sick of for the past 4 years.

Domestic and Foreign policy will remain garbage; cops will still be cops, healthcare will still be privatized, and the minorities that the dems claim to care about will suffer under these conditions.

Nothing good can really come of this. At least Democrats are showing everyone exactly how racist they are under their paper-thin mask of diversity.

The whole façade of democracy is dying, I see no reason why the candidate shouldn't be as well.

Well yeah. I've noticed and I dont really believe in democracy any more.

I've realized that the "democracy is the best thing to happen to civilization" stance is pushed really fucking hard during 10 years of mandatory education. I mean god damn its impossible to discuss the worst things about democracy (its slow y'all) with people because everyone is so indoctrinated and they will repeat sayings like "its better than China" - as if I dont know that already ffs - instead of actually coming with any reasonable arguments.

I fucking hate people.

Probably the smartest move he could have picked, the radical left of the Democratic party will coalesce around Biden anyway and having a conservative POC on the ticket will entice more middle class likely voters to switch sides.

However, this entire thing rests on the idea that the election will be legitimate. Between the Census, the postal service being sabotaged, the coronavirus which is disproportionately impacting the opposition held states, and 35 states where the ruling party will be counting the ballots, it will be difficult to remove even this unpopular USA president through the normal process. Impeachment proceedings having been defeated, Trump is emboldened and his party has had the opportunity to test which of them will stick by Trump no matter what-- that was a very foolish move by the opposition party, which will probably have consequences for them.

Regardless, for anarchists in USA a Biden or a Trump presidency will be catastrophic, as there is no reason to believe either of them will roll back the concentration camps or hold accountable those who built them (it was Biden's presidential running mate and Bush II who built them, in a broadly supported bipartisan effort over a decade), and both have stated they want to put as many anarchists in prison as possible. Biden's plans such as a "public option" for healthcare are both dead on arrival politically without a major change in the national legislature, as well as policy-wise destined for partial or total collapse as it will allow a huge dilution of the national insurance pool by letting rich people keep their insurance separate from the national insurance plan. Thus, rich low-risk people will remove all their money from the system, while the poor and sick will be crowded into a hugely expensive program subsidized by the middle class. The program will be declared a failure and a Republican would win thereafter, even assuming such a program is passed.

Therefore it is quite clear that a Biden victory would be an enormous gift to the Republican party and its agenda

It's excruciatingly pathetic how much of a Kayfabe it all is. The cringe is doubly painful because of how predictably unimaginative these ossified dumbfucks are. Like yo fuckfaces at least surprise us from time to time by throwing a curveball on your way to managing the decline of this empire. Fuck
