Honestly... Its not that difficult. You don't have to completely forgo human interaction.

Luckily with my band mates and our mutual friends, roommates, partners there isnt even one degree of separation. Most of us work together too. We exist very communally though we live in roughly a dozen different houses at a time. We currently have it setup so the older folks in our tribe, 60+ years old, 4 out of 5 of them have moved in together for the duration of the pandemic. The other has chosen to stay here at our place and just be mindful of our interactions and distancing. We still have our morning coffee and conversation sitting in the garden in the back yard at a reasonable 8 to 9 feet apart over homemade zucchini bread and eggs with the occasional ironic 'hail trump' thrown in over our talks of political happenings. He does his reading outside in the back, I drink and write on the front porch. Whenever we use common areas like the kitchen, we sanitize after use. Even if I'm just grabbing a beer from the fridge, I grab the sanitizer rag from the sani bucket(bleach water replaced a few times a day) and wipe down the handle on the fridge. As far as band practice goes, we are all masked up. When we go to the store we are masked up. When we are at work we are all masked up. Which is still so ironic to me as I ve been arrested for being masked up at demos. It's all about being mindful. Taking a few precautions allows for life to continue similarly as it has. I'm glad my 66 year old roommate decided to stay at home during all this. I know he is safe. And it was small things to maintain that. Someone's gotta call me a 'godless infadel' when I let my tomato plants become root bound before transplanting them.
