Forever 21 leaves a lot of clothes untagged, you can also get some good shit from goodwill and the Salvation Army (btw fuck both of those companies). There’s also burlington, Walmart, some clothes at zumies is untagged, GameStop has a lot of untagged shirts and hats, Spencer’s has some untagged stuff, h&m has some also, don’t fuck with kohl’s tho. Also Ross has a lot of untagged stuff.

I’ve had 0 luck with the Ross near me :( it seems they tag just about everything at mine although my ex was able to detach a tag without a magnet. (tbh I don’t know how she pulled that off considering they count items ??? I guess she’s just a bad bitch lol)

I personally don’t rack or detach in dressing rooms, in my opinion it’s too obvious. Bring a large purse, find a blind spot and detach and bag it with another piece of clothing in hand. Use the piece of clothing still on the hanger as a kind of portable blind spot, take the tag off and put it in your bag. Booster bags are always an option, or you could just grab a bunch of clothes and walk out.

I might do that once I get the hang of detaching them bc it’d be super obvious if I was standing there fiddling with it

What’s wrong with goodwill and SA?

Uwusketamine445 wrote

A LOT, the Salvation Army is notorious for abusing people in its shelters. They exploit disabled people, the ceo if goodwill has a million dollar salary made off the backs of disabled workers and donated goods. You can look into it more, I’ve heard horror stories about sa shelters. Oh and they kicked a trans woman out onto the street and she froze to death.

I've had good luck at Lucky Brand, American eagle, f21, and occasionally h&m.

I use needle nose plyers before I got a magnet. Lol You can also go to Walmart and scope out their garden section. Look for the magnet they use to open up spiderwraps. Then go there late one night and clip them. And there you go.

How long ago was that ...I’m reading here they build cases ? Is there any truth to this or just fear mongering?

Buffalo Exchange where I live doesn’t tag clothes. Some fitting room attendants are pretty on top of it so I wouldn’t conceal there but it’s a small store & always packed. I walked out with a shirt in my hand the other day. Be careful in places like that because you really can’t tell who’s an employee & who’s not

Some of Nordstrom's clothes aren't tagged. I just took a few dresses today and didn't have any tags.

I've had a lot of success with Nordstrom Rack, JC Penney, Dick's Sporting Goods, Carter's for my toddler, Gap, Macy's (mostly cosmetics and underwear), Victoria's Secret (gotta search a bit for untagged stuff there tho), a boutique at the mall that doesn't tag any of their stuff, Costco since mine doesn't have any cameras and I just stuff clothes in my diaper bag, and a bit at Walmart and Target. Have only done the last two like 2 times though. Usually fancier more expensive stuff is tagged so I don't really get myself designer clothes but I don't care for them. Just want to dress myself well without spending $15 on a shirt or $50 on a dress. I suggest walking around the mall and acting like you're window shopping and go into the stores that you're interested in and see which ones have tagged clothes and which don't. Takes a bit of searching but it's definitely worth it! Good luck! Don't get caught!!!! ✌🏻

Have you considered making booster pads? Also target has a lot of clothes >30 $ that aren't tagged.

Don’t steal from Target

Imo, the fear mongering over target is disproportionate to the threat they represent. In addition to that, because I do agree that they have the best LP out of any big box store, you can mitigate the risk greatly through a variety of methods. My favorite is to dress up like a homeless man and have my girlfriend steal everything because they're too stupid to see past class and will have every PTZ in the store trained on me.

I wear my black paint stained hoodie and fill up a basket with paint while my buddy steals. It’s a really good tactic if you know the best ways to sus out lp. I’ve also done the opposite with my buddy where she goes straight to electronics and Pokémon cards while I pretend to get groceries and pick up whatever I need in other sections of the store.

Oh that paint idea is good! It's always been a dream of mine to get a team of three and two of them start a (fake) fight with each other and in the commotion someone does a $$$ walkout. And then the two just refuse to press charges.

newly built targets, supertargets have more security especially if its a smaller sized target and not a regular mall or standlaone target. The older ones are much easier to lift at.

Uwusketamine445 wrote

Yeah but it’s still honestly not worth it. When I was in treatment they used to have this pig come by and he was actually pretty nice for a class traitor but he worked for target lp and I learned a lot about crime from him. From what he said they could make stops very easily and they were hands on, and this was a couple years ago. I still just don’t want to risk it. They can stop you for anything suspect, no holds bared.

Thanks haha. I wish we would see more multi-person strats on this sub. I bet that's where the truly massive hauls are at.

My heart races when I see someone talking about Target on here lol. I feel anxious for them lol. Then again, they've been heavily warned...

Uwusketamine445 wrote

To be fair I stole a 40$ switch controller from there, and my sleight if hand was shit at the time. I would never go back but it’s not a death sentence.

I’ve stolen a lot from target before I came into any online communities. Never was caught probably never raised suspicion, still won’t lift from them again. Nothing they sell that Walmart doesn’t.

Uwusketamine445 wrote

Yeah it’s not worth it, they have their switch controllers not locked up tho, which is epic but not worth getting busted over and I can still get the shitty off brand pro controllers from Walmart so it’s chill. They go way fucking overkill with lp though, I’m glad we were smart about to park away from it because we would’ve gotten our plates run 100% if we didn’t.
